Star Gazing

The darkness of the night creeps in, The stars come out to shine their light.

I hear them singing in the wind, And dancing on the moonbeam bright.

They call to me to come and play, To leave the earth below behind.

To reach beyond the galaxy, And surpass the limits of my mind.

If I should dare to join them there, To place my soul into the sky.

Gaze to the heavens without a care, For there'd be no need to say good bye.

For in your eyes I would see, My reflection sparkling back at me.

And in your heart I'm sure you'd know, My eternal peace would never go.

I'd be the one who laughs out loud, The singing star each note in tune.

The first one peeking out at night, Or skipping across the silver moon.

I'd ride the comet tails to see, The Milky Way wink back at me.

And if I felt you feeling blue, I'd shine the Northern Lights on you.

You'd see me swimming with Delphinus, Or flying on Aries golden back.

And when the night was put to bed, You'd always know I'm coming back.
