Julia Ann Ferguson Andriessen

Julia Ferguson Andriessen is a highly trained Business and Personal Coach, writer and group facilitator specializing in supporting Executives, Solopreneurs, Expatriates, Love Immigrants and Multicultural Couples and the chronically ill to achieve their goals and accomplish successful transitions.

A main outcome from working with Julia is a notable level of stress reduction and clarity around current challenges and increase in coping skills in and outside of the workplace.

Julia challenges Executives to create a dynamic lifestyle incorporating personal and professional interests. Working with her client’s values, goals and dreams in mind she helps her clients develop a life balance that brings joy and satisfaction to the forefront of their lives.

Raised by British and Canadian immigrants and having lived in the US and Europe, Julia considers herself a global citizen.  She has Dual citizenship with the United States and the Netherlands and speaks English and Dutch.

She has worked in the non profit and for profit business sectors and has worked in social services specifically for more than ten years.  Her experience covers public relations and marketing, sales underwriting, job skills development and resume writing, writing for web and print publications, English translation and business administration up through counseling, group facilitation, program management, volunteer management and program design, staff training and various board positions.

Julia has launched a variety of support programs and organizations to meet the needs of global citizens and immigrants.  In addition she helps organize groups locally that reach out to those with chronic illness issues including arthritis and fibromyalgia.   She is a volunteer with the Orange County Arthritis Association as well as a Crohn’s and Colitis Ambassador with the CCFA.

Maarten W.G. Andriessen

Maarten Andriessen is a Sr. Network Administrator by trade and an immigration and expat consultant by experience.  Maarten was born and raised in the Netherlands and worked for International companies such as Akzo Nobel and Connexxion.

Living and working in a small country as the Netherlands requires language skills in order to compete with the larger surrounding countries and thus Maarten is fluent in Dutch and English and conversant in basic German and French.

Maarten and Julia launched a variety of networking and support groups in the Netherlands such as the International Mixer Utrecht and Expats with Dutch Partners.  In the US, Maarten founded Dutch in the OC, a local social and business networking group for Dutch expats and immigrants.

He has assisted a variety of individuals and couples with their immigration questions and concerns.  In addition he has helped with Dutch to English and English to Dutch translation of legal documents as well as writing and editing for JAFA clients working on obtaining Dutch citizenship while living abroad.

Maarten’s current role with JAFA primarily is technical support and Dutch/US or US/Dutch specific client issues.  He continues to stay abreast of current topics and immigration concerns in the Netherlands and the United States.
